Well first off, it is truly pretty 'effin' cool! It's really easy to get lost in all the patterns, and the energy is really mellow and grounding. And again I chuckle because I know I've said it before, so what a shocker! "The right one comes along when we need it."

This last spring brought me more personal loss in a year filled with losses. A very dear friend left this plane unexpectedly and a then week later, my daughter's dad, my ex, Terry transitioned on from a long fight with cancer. I am grateful he and I became friends again in the end and got to enjoy a bit of time with our beautiful grandson. In the time since, I played with this stone not knowing what it would bring me. And now, more than 2 months later, I can relate what it helped me with. It's pretty amazing. 

In helping me to move from the old to the new I can now smile when I think of those no longer here. Yes, I still mist up, but I'm no longer asking the 'why did this have to happen' question. This stone helped to show me that even though our time here is limited, like the life of the algae that created this stone, we do still live on. We are never truly gone. We are just different. And like the algae, we get to transform into something beautiful. It makes sense to me and brought some peace to a grief filled heart.

Stromatolite helps to relieve physical and emotional stress and to understand life lessons. It can also aid in patience, strength and in helping you overcome challenges. Like most fossil types of stones, they assist in transformation and change and are believed to help us in moving from the old to the new.

Crystal System...

Stromatolite can truly be listed in the Rock family >  Sedimentary rock and sediment > Sedimentary rock > Microbialite. So, in regular people talk: basically a lot of squished up stuff that had silica which turned quartz like and wound up in layers that got shifted around and compressed as the process took place. Oh, and it's pretty cool looking.

While Stromatolite has very ancient origins, it is still being created today in areas like Shark Bay in western Australia. Basically they are fossilized layered deposits of algae within ancient sedimentary rock. Those single-celled organisms are believed to be some of the first forms of life on this planet with some dating back over 3.5 billion years.

Stromatolites offer us a wide range of colors and contain many impurities within the bedrock (which is usually limestone). The most common colors seem to be brown, beige, reddish-brown, and yellows. They can actually be found all over the world, and there are large deposits located in Morocco, Australia, Canada, the United States, as well as the northern European and Baltic states.

Application...

I found carrying Stromatolite with me daily eventually provided effects. This is not one to be impatient with as it was VERY slow acting. Changes were very subtle and really not noticeable for at least a month. Persistence in carrying it did pay off and has left me with a deeper understanding of things.

Spiritually...

Stromatolite aides you in connecting with ancient knowledge and to receive that information as you need it. It is very relevant when you would like to connect with past life and ancestral knowledge and tranquilly absorb the information.

Emotionally...

Stomatolite provides patience in completing projects or for resolving life situations. It provides a calming effect and a knowing that all things pass and allows us to walk towards the future a better human.

Mentally...

Stromatolite allow us to become open to the process of change and all the possibilities that can bring. It seemed to remove the fear of 'what's next.'

Physically...

Stromatolite helps to reduce stress, to regulate the  thymus, assist with sore throat, joint issues particularly with hands and feet, helps to strengthen bones, teeth and hair, and to level fluid regulation/retention.
